I won Globby Awards!! Actually, it was for last month, but we were running a little late on passing them out so I got it today.
What is a Globby Award you ask? It’s WishB’s equivalent of an “Employee of the Month” award. Our “trophies” are these cute Glob Plushies. I’ve been wanting one since we officially started selling them, (You can buy one here!) and now I don’t have to buy one!!
Below is a pimped out picture of my awesome Glob Plushie.

The “Globinator” is this cool picture editing tool that we have in GlobWorld. You can add stickers, effects, and draw all over pictures that you upload.

My first professional Flash project was integrated today in Globworld! This was my first Flash project that I was involved in where I was the sole Flash Developer (meaning “Actionscript 3 programmer”). All art was done by Sean Jones or Ellen Michelson.
The basic functionality of the map is that when the User clicks on one of the buttons, it will either direct them to another Flash game or a Unity game. At runtime, an XML document would be read that would contain the current URL paths for each game. This was done so that URLs could easily be updated without the need of having to recompile the SWF file. For the buttons that lead to Unity games, added functionality was given to wait for Unity to load before it would activate the button.
To see it in action, sign up for an account at Globworld and click on the icon on the far left (it looks like a floating island)!

My boss, Rebecca Nachlas, was featured in an article about bullying in Parenting Magazine. It mentions a little tidbit about WishB and the product we’re working on (GlobWorld).
